Director, cinematographer producer, and lecturer on FAMU. Martin Řezníček has been working in film for nearly three decades. Řezníček graduated as a documentary dpt. (Mgr.) and Cinematography dpt (Bc.) at FAMU film school in 1997. In 2002 he returned to the renowned institution to teach in the documentary department and proceeded to be appointed the position as Vice Dean of Science and Research in 2014-2016. He newly created on FAMU e.g. popular Investigative Documentary Seminary which he is teaching since nowadays.
During his career, he has extensively worked with Česká televize (Czech TV) and successfully produced and directed dozens of films, Řezníček currently works as a freelancer and is the co-director of DOKUfilm Prague, a short and feature-length film production company. Some of his most well known productions are shortfilms Sarajevo ’94 (1994), Mordochór (1999), Loan Shark (Úžera, 2001), Farewell to the Sun (Sbohem Slunce, 2002), RU Return Unwanted (RU Rückkehr unerwünscht, 2005), Life in Feathers (Život v peří, 2007), Jan Krizek Sculptures Bees (Jan Křížek sochy a včely, 2007), BRUSEL 2058 (2007), Shitcredit (Šitkredit, 2010), The Third Human Torch (Třetí lidská pochodeň, 2016) and many others, also TV series Tykadlo, Na hraně and others.
